Summer Fling
A brief flash of a lightning bug
glowing for an instant,
catches my eye.
A brief moment of
pleasure dazzles me.
A gentle touch brushes
my cheek.
Warm nights
raise temperatures.
Soft parting with no regrets.
A single tear, salty,
but not bitter.
The lightning bug's
fire fades
into the night.
