Fluidity
If time were fluid,
like Salvador Dali's clocks
my watch would slither
snakelike from my wrist,
the hands spinning like
some madman's rolling eyes.
I'd change the world
like Superman,
flying the wrong way
reversing all the things
that hurt my loved ones.
I'd like to watch the
ripples dance across space/time,
see the harmonious and discordant
effects of events in their relationship
to the whole world.
I'd like to be
a pebble
dropping down
the well of time
causing deep
vibrations in the lives
I pass through on my
way through life.
