Chronic Headache
pulsing, throbbing,
relentless sensation,
eyes heavy as
overloaded shopping bags.
clamps march up my neck,
multiplying as they climb.
seeping through my temples in tides,
painful to talk,
think,
move.
bleeding
away
energy,
drop by drop.
fingers push outwards
behind my eyes.
Hammers pounding,
pounding, pounding,
compacting my head day by day.
little relief,
no hope of cure.
SURGE and subside.
POUND and tap,
a constant rhythm
in my head.
