Meditation
My heart beats slower
and slower.
As I listen,
I can almost drown
in the silence
between thumps.
Air sighs in my lungs,
bringing energy and peace.
I lose myself in
the drift of my thoughts.
I turn my face
toward the sun,
basking with closed eyes,
pivoting
with the sunflowers.
Colors dazzle my eyelids,
and rainbows bloom
with a tilt of my head.
Body in complete
relaxation,
energy flows in my veins.
Eyes open,
body moves.
Spell is broken,
but the peace remains,
and joy fills my heart.
