Rage

boiling red dusty cloud
blinds the intellect as it
churns through my head
hot wind fans it to
more extreme billowings
cloud muddles my words
as I speak them
changes soothing sounds
to bitter gall
sparks white hot
my voice thickens
grows louder as I
struggle to speak something
anything
a blooming envy
chews at my heart
changes my perception
blurring
my eyes against
other than red or green

brows pull my face
down
my teeth gnash
as I fight
for control
fearing
damage such emotions
wreak on unsuspecting victim

instead of speaking
let the red drops of anger
ooze out of my pen
onto the paper
where they change
locked in
a poem
to bother me
not for a little while
